Frugalware Linux 1.6 RC2 has been released

Frugalware announced the availability of the second release candidate [RC2] for the upcoming Frugalware 1.6 stable release. Frugalware is the general desktop Linux operating system from Hungary. It design looks like Slackware and it uses the Pacman package management from Arch Linux. It available on many desktop environment like GNOME, KDE, Xfce, LXDE, BlackBox, FluxBox, OpenBox, WMaker and IceWM.

In this version they upgrade to Linux Kernel 3.1.10 and LibreOffice 3.4.5. They also update about 100 packages and include 27 new packages. They introduce many new features and try to fix the errors. Tha main advantage is that you if you have your old machines like 256 MB RAM you can install LXDE or Xfce version on it.
